The EP is responsible for assessing and bidding potential projects with support from internal team and creative leads. The EP manages our direct client relationships, is the key client contact and is the escalation point responsible for the overall production budget, and project profitability. The EP will need to be a strong negotiator with a focus on pitching and acquiring work in conjunction with our VFX Sups and Creative Director. The EP will need to be confident in articulating the Luma message and will need to work with the Executive team and Marketing department to garner interest and secure projects for our in-house artists. Externally, the role is client facing, requiring the EP to identify and acquire the appropriate work from both existing and new clients with a focus on short form, commercials and gaming cinematics. The role has both internal and external responsibilities. The Executive Producer (Short Form) is a senior role within Luma, working closely with our Features EP and reporting directly to the CEO. Work closely with Producers and Production Managers to provide a task breakdown and estimates per project.Train team members and review their overall performance and work, ensuring the highest standards are met at all times.Supervise the artist in achieving all technical aspects of production including but not limited to: assets dev, rigging, animation, lighting and FX.Provide clear direction to all CG departments, including but not limited to: assets dev, rigging, animation, lighting, and FX, setting clear objectives and monitoring the process, progress and results.Work closely with the VFX Supervisor, Producers, Production Managers, coordinators, artists and other necessary departments in creating high quality visual effects.Assess and determine new talent with the help of the production and staffing team along with assisting in the actual interview process.Ensure that all teams are working efficiently and productively and are on target to meet all milestones and deadlines.Work closely with Production Management to provide a task breakdown and estimates per project.Train the team members and review their work, ensuring high standard results.Keep up on current technology trends and tools (hardware and software) that best suits the production in the development of a stronger creative technical environment.Supervise the artist in achieving all technical aspects of production including assets dev, rigging, animation, lighting, and FX.Provide clear direction to all CG departments, setting clear objectives and monitoring the process, progress and results.Work closely with VFX Supervisor, Production Managers, coordinators, artists, and other necessary departments in creating high quality visual effects.The ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.A team oriented mentality with a 'get it done' attitude.Strong time management skills and the ability to balance priorities under the pressure of a deadline-driven production.An innate desire to stay informed of current technologies.An approachable, proactive and accommodating attitude.The ability to take direction and implement feedback with a positive attitude.Strong communication and organisational skills.An understanding of multi-pass rendering and 3D scene layout is preferred.
